Daniel, 95, of San Diego passed away on January 4, 2023 at Scripps Mercy Hospital in Chula Vista. Born November 27, 1927 in National City, Daniel was the 7th of 10 children born to Daniel Galvan and Jesus Serrano Ledesma. Enlisted in the US Army in 1945 he was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant in 1952. After marrying his wife Margaret, the family moved to Paradise Hills where they raised their 4 children. Although Daniel’s barbering businesses kept him quite busy he always found time to support his children’s scouting events, little league, softball and musical recitals and competitions. Daniel was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Veterans of Foreign Wars. His interests included most sports, bowling, ballroom dancing and big band music. He is survived by his sons Daniel, Michael and Vernon as well as his daughter Elizabeth. A proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren, he is also survived by his sisters Sally and Theresa.
