Erlinda Bersamin Dayrit

Erlinda “Linda” Bersamin Dayrit, age 74, of Temecula, California passed away in her home on Friday, January 13, 2023. Linda was born on October 12, 1948 in Tacloban City, Leite, Philippines. She was the fifth of seven children of Margarita and Teodulo de Paz, Sr. She received her BA from the Philippine School of Business Administration. She came to Chicago, IL in 1970. In June 1974, Linda married Ernesto Dayrit. Together they have two children, Eleanor and Roderick. In 2004, she moved to Temecula, CA and retired from the US Postal Service in 2010, where she was employed for over 25 years. Linda is remembered for her warm and welcoming nature. She loved to dance and travel. She was an avid church goer and was always willing to help others when she was able. Most of all, she loved her family and friends. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Margarita and Teodulo de Paz, Sr. ; her brothers, Oscar and Antonio de Paz; and many extended family members and close friends. She is survived by her husband, Ernesto Dayrit; daughter Eleanor Dayrit (Thomas Do); son Roderick Dayrit (Sonia Bagwe); grandchildren Ethan, Elyssa, and Elden Do, and Maia Bagwe-Dayrit; sisters Thelma (Juan Gerona Jr.) and Lydia Gavina; brothers Teodulo de Paz Jr. and Eduardo de Paz Sr.; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. ******************************************************************************************************************** A visitation for Erlinda will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel National City, 607 National City Boulevard, National City, CA 91950. A rosary will occur Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 607 National City Blvd, National City, California 91950. A funeral service will occur Monday, January 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Chapel, 4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102. A graveside service will occur Monday, January 30, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 92102, 4470 Hilltop Dr, CA 92102. A celebration of life reception will occur Monday, January 30, 2022 at 12:45 PM at Sunrise Buffett, 3860 Convoy Street, San Diego, CA.
