Our dad, Felix Arce, was born in El Cajon in 1920. At the age of 21 he married our mom, Rachel. This union lasted for 28 years until she passed in 2009. Our dad was an extremely proud Army veteran of World War II and he did not hesitate to let anyone know that he was a Cannoneer in charge of loading the 105 Howitzer and that his tank was named Stardust.
> After his discharge from the Army, our dad worked in the dairy industry until his retirement in 1980. He then kept busy as a handyman/junk collector, always searching for that million dollar collector's item. He had high hopes of striking it rich one day, whether it be at the casino or winning the lottery. His dream was to win big so he could buy a block of houses so the family could all live together.
> For the last couple of years his daily routine consisted of working on his word search books,, listening to his favorite CD, "Canciones de mi Padre", and enjoying his hot chocolate, donuts, and peanut butter sandwiches.
We love you daddy
