Papi...I don't know what I'd do without you...your my hero and I want to be like you someday...I love you and miss you

Gloria and family:  We all down here in San Antonio, Texas will miss Lalo tremendously.  He was a very generous member of the Alamo Silver Wings Airborne Association (ASWAA).  He attended practically every activity that ASWAA conducted.  Lalo will be deeply missed as we all felt he truly was our brother in combat arms.  Lalo was a person whom we could depend upon to "carry out" his assigned duty/mission of this association.   May God comfort you during your sorrowful hours and may God Hold Lalo in the Fold of God's Hands is our prayer.  Our sincere condolences and our hugs to you Gloria and the entire family. THE AIRBORNE CREED
I am an airborne trooper! A PARATROOPER! I jump by parachute from any plane in flight. I volunteered to do it, knowing well the hazards of my choice. I serve in a mighty Airborne Force--famed for deeds in war--renowned for readiness in peace. It is my pledge to uphold its honor and prestige in all I am--in all I do. I am an elite trooper--a sky trooper--a shock trooper--a spearhead trooper. I blaze the way to far-flung goals--behind, before, above the foe's front line. I know that I may have to fight without support for days on end. Therefore, I keep mind and body always fit to do my part in any Airborne task. I am self-reliant and unafraid. I shoot true, and march fast and far. I fight hard and excel in every art and artifice of war. I never fail a fellow trooper. I cherish as a sacred trust the lives of men with whom I serve. Leaders have my fullest loyalty, and those I lead never find me lacking. I have pride in the Airborne! I never let it down! In peace, I do not shrink the dullest of duty not protest the toughest training. My weapons and equipment are always combat ready. I am neat of dress--military in courtesy--proper in conduct and behavior. In battle, I fear no foe's ability, nor under-estimate his prowess, power and guile. I fight him with all my might and skills--ever alert to evade capture or escape a trap. I never surrender, though I be the last. My goal in peace or war is to succeed in any mission of the day--or die, if needs be, in the try. I belong to a proud and glorious team--the Airborne, the Army, my Country. I am its chosen pride to fight where others may not go--to serve them well until the final victory. I am the trooper of the sky! I am my Nation's best! In peace and war I never fail. Love you Tio Lalo, rest in peace. Gone but never forgotten.

You will be greatly missed,  forever in our thoughts. As i sit here and dwell on the fact that your gone so many memories flash through my mind. It hurts to know we lost the patriarch of our family but will forever be reminded of where we came from because you worked so hard to provide us with our history. You were a strong and dedicated man, dedicated to providing for your family, and your veteran family ensuring you did everything in your power to commemorate those who were forgotten, and make good on a promise the government could not. Apart from raising 10 children, you were a father figure to many of your grandchildren, earning you the title of "Papi" since you were so much more than a grandfather. I will miss your humor and our conversations although few and far between, i regret not bringing my family around more, but they will know what heroic roots we stem from. As much as it hurts to know your gone,  i can take comfort  knowing you are free of pain or worries and we will met again. I love you Grandpa and miss you so much.

This so hard to right this pain in my heart tell myself I lost a wonderful person that I call him papi. You where there help your daughter chana to raise me and maria. I have a great memory of that grow up. I'm so glad that you meet your grandkids angelica, Andres,Juan,juanalicia, aeyesha. I'm glad your up in heaven with family looking down on us and your in no pain. I would miss talking to you and the most part is tell my kids about the family tree. Papi we all going miss you in our little ways. So I send you a candle that light up tell you I love you with all my heart and I'm going miss you so much.

This so hard to write down but I'm going miss you papi so much. I have a lot of memory grow up with you. I'm glad my kids got to meet you even I don't bring them round that much. I remember last Halloween I came over show you the kids but I told you we miss jr. Your no longer in pain you up in heaven with the family but all I can say is this my life won't be the same. I love you papi with all my heart and soul. You will never ever be forgotten.

I miss you so much,  just knowing you were always there when I needed you, I just can't seem to believe your gone. For as long as I can remember you have always been in my life, always there for my mom and her children,  you were more than an uncle to me, you were an extension of my mom, I will love and miss you always.

Its such a day thing to know that I wont see you no more really wish I grew up around you. but I will always love you grandpa and my kids will always know about how their handsome grandpa was the best ..Gone but never forgotten. you will always have a special part in life I my kids will always know they had a Mexican Santa Clause. That he's smile will be missed . I love you man.

I had good times and bad times with my grandpa.He was a pain in the butt but he was our pain in the butt nobody else's.I remember we had a bet for every time he called me ugly he had to give me a Dolor. Me and him always use to mess around and say we hate each other lol he use to tell me to just leave and use to say no I live here,why dont you leave.he would tell me I hate you and I would say back to him I hate you too grandpa but that's how me and him messed around all the time.I always use to get whatever I wanted from my grandpa.I would see something in the fridge and ask him who's is this? And he use to say yours now baby. When he was getting more older he would keep his eyes closed alot and I would tell him let me see your pretty eyes and smile grandpa! And he would do it for me.I would be the only one he kissed and hugged nobody else. I will always miss that old man,my grandpa.I love him so much and have many more memories with him.

To the family of Lalo,

 I will never forget his long hours of research and help he gave me on our family trees. He told me he also wanted to pass the information down to his loved ones and descendants. What a wonder gift! He was dedicated to the veterans and also to his family. He will not be forgotten but remembered by many friends, family and veterans. Rest in peace, Lalo, as you journey to that beautiful place and chat with our ancestors around that circle of peace.
