Gloria Connolly

Gloria was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on February 21, 1939. Daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Mastroberte. The family moved to San Diego when Joseph joined the Navy in 1940.

She started her school years at St. Charles Borromeo Academy in San Diego, Graduated from Chula Vista Junior High school in 1954, and Chula Vista High School in 1957.

Got married to Michael J. Connolly, June 21st, 1957. Was a homemaker and mother of her 2 children, Cheryl and Donald.

The couple got divorced in 1977, after that time, she worked in the accounting department at FedCo, then in the banking business for 20 plus years.

Gloria enjoyed going on trips with her friends, to Mexico, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. One of her passions was Jazz Music, she loved smooth Jazz and the Catalina Jazz Festival that happens in the Fall.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Moore, daughter, Lew Moore, son in Law, Rollins, MT. Donald Connolly, Spring Valley CA.

Her sisters Dorothy Wisely, Florida, Sharon Decker, San Diego, and her ex husband Michael Connolly, Texas.

The family would like to express their greatest gratitude to her Primary Caregiver, her son Donald, who cared for her in the last few years of her life when she was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease.

We would also like to express deep gratitude to Elizabeth Hospice for her team of caregivers that helped her the last 2 months of her life.
