Gregory Venegas Senteno

Our beloved Dad Gregory V. Senteno passed away peacefully on 11/25/24, three days shy of his 98th birthday, at Scripps Mercy Hospital Hillcrest CA. He was born in Selma, CA Nov 28,1926 to Crispin Bonilla Senteno and Maria Guadalupe Venegas, he was the 5th of 9 siblings. In 1941, the family moved from Selma and settled in San Ysidro, CA. Dad was drafted to the Army in 1946 and was in Germany at the end of WWII, European Theatre 509th AAA Opn Det. He served 8 years in U.S. Army. In 1952 Dad married our Mom, Margarita Garcia and built their home on Montgomery St in Otay, CA. Dad worked for the City of San Diego Water Utilities Dept. for 32 years until his retirement in 1992. He was preceded in death by our Mom and all of his siblings. He is survived by his children, Laura S.Torrez (Rudy), Louie Senteno (Cristina), James Senteno (Chris-tine), his grandchildren; Justin Senteno (Kayce), Sarah Senteno, Gelisa S. Letizia (Steven), Cody Senteno, Aaron G. J. Torrez. Great-Grandchildren; Devin Senteno, Makayla Senteno, Kennedy Senteno, Kolby Senteno, Sebastian Letizia, Margarita Letizia, Charles Letizia. The family would like to thank the Nurses, Doctors and staff at Scripps Mercy Hospital for their compassion and care to our Dad.
