

He was born on January 17, 1944, in San Jose, California to Gabriel and Margaret Montijo, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Dora, of 61 years, and his daughters, Roxane Wall and Rhonda Brown. He has 5 grandchildren: Sarah, Gabriella, Christian, Valerie, and Veronica. He has two great-grandchildren, Viviana and Amelia. His brothers Gabriel, Benjamin, Paul, and his sister, Naomi, preceded him in death. His sister Lydia presently lives in Columbus, Ohio.
Jacob was a minister for 60 plus years.He pastored several churches, and served as a State Overseer and Field Secretary for the Church of God. His ministry took him to many places including South and Central America, Mexico, China, India, Italy, Israel, Spain, Portugal, Canada, and most of the 50 states.
His hobbies included watching Padre baseball games and Chargers football. He loved playing with his two Chows, Simban and Cuma. He also loved his daughter, Rhonda’s, two Shih Tzus, Charlie and Lucy.
Jacob will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A visitation for Jacob will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Funeraria del Angel National City, 607 National City Boulevard, National City, CA 91950. Following the visitation will be a committal service from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902.
