John Joseph Sisto-Gonzalez

John Joseph Sisto-Gonzalez was born on October 7, 1980 in San Diego, California to Yolanda Sisto and Juan Gonzalez. He was the brother of Richard Sisto, Gina Gonzalez (deceased), Rich Gonzalez, and Monica Gonzalez. He grew up in North Park, San Diego where he attended North Park Christian Church. He played football for his high school, Hoover High. He met Heather Claire Thompson while they were both employed at the Salvation Army in San Diego. It was love at first sight and soon after they were married on March 7, 2009. They lived in El Cajon, California for six years during which time John was employed by GM Business Interiors. Several years ago, they relocated to Vista, California.

John had a great appetite for food and life. He loved his dogs, Rollie and Shorty. He enjoyed shopping at the swap meet to hunt for special gifts for friends and family. He was very proud of his collections, including knives and cartoon-character drinking glasses. He loved WWE and attended many events. He spent fond hours practicing his favorite sports - archery and Hsing-I martial arts. Heather and John shared a love of camping and fishing, road trips, and amusement parks, and went as often as they could. He loved getting together with friends and family, and was always quick to laugh and smile.

John went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2018. He is survived by his parents, his wife, his brothers, sister Monica, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
