Lucinda Garcia

Lucinda (Cindy) Garcia was born January 9, 1953. She was born in San Bernardino, CA. She was the second child born to Delia Perez and Jesse Romo. She is survived by her siblings; Eugene, Rodney, Genevieve and Cynthia, her two children, Dorina and Ricardo, her grandchildren; Mauricio, Agustin, Ricardo Jr, Dante, Erika, Isaiah, Joshua, her son in law Agustin and daughter in law Marisol .

Cindy was dedicated and loved working as an EKG/Telemetry technician. She started her career working for Scripps Memorial Hospital and worked there for many, many years, she then went on to work at Paradise Valley Hospital where she later retired from.

If there was one thing Cindy loved most it was spending time with all her grandkids. She cherished every moment she spent with them from doing yard work with them to taking them on shopping sprees at the mall. Being that she was a big “foodie”, she loved taking her grandkids out to eat. Her favorite things to eat with them were Orange Julius drinks, chamango drinks, Panda Express, slurpees and candies!

Cindy fought a long health battle for over 10 years. Her strength and will to live was amazing. She never gave up even after numerous admissions to the hospital throughout the years. Her motivation to continue to fight and live she would say was so that she could continue to enjoy her grandchildren.

On June 12, 2021 Cindy was called home to be with the Lord. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her, ESPECIALLY all her grandkids.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at The Refinery Church located at 494 E St, Chula Vista, CA 91910 starting at 11am. Celebration of life immediately following religious services at her daughters home.

Cremation and burial will be held at Glen Abby Memorial located in Bonita, CA at a later time.
