Maria Delgado Enemecio

Maria Delgado Enemecio of Chula Vista, formally of Cebu City Philippines, passed away Wednesday August 14, 2024. Maria was born on December 01, 1926 in Liloan, Cebu. Philippines to Francisco and Gliceria Noval Delgado. Maria spent her formative years under the Japanese Occupation of the Philippines of which she told stories of hiding in the local mountains. In her youth she was employed as a professional dressmaker. On October 24, 1958, she married Benito L. Enemecio. He proceeded her in death in August 16, 2020. Maria enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, sewing and watching Major League Baseball, especially the San Diego Padres.

Survivors include daughters Marietta (Thomas) Hendrickson also of Chula Vista, Victoria (Wilfredo/deceased) Tiquia, Benita (Alfonso) Giango, Frances (Marino) Ale and stepdaughter Carina (Eduardo) Juntilla , of the Philippines. Grandchildren Kirk and Robert Hendrickson, Rea, Algie, and Gines Giango, Jayson Ale and Frances Marie Ale Reyes, Joseph and May Juntilla as well as 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two children in infancy and two grandchildren, as well as two brothers and one sister.

Viewing will be held on Friday September 06, 2024 from 2pm to 8pm at Funeraria del Angel 607 National City Boulevard, National City, CA. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday September 07, 2024 at 9:30 AM at Corpus Christi Church, 450 Coral Canyon Rd, Bonita, CA. Graveside service will be held on Saturday September 07, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Rd. Bonita CA.
