She was born on Guam USA, the daughter of Antonio Toves Borja and Soledad Quitugua Mariano Borja. The eldest of 10 siblings of which 7 survived. She was an accomplished salesperson for the "Sayre Company" who won top sales awards before working for Government of Guam ultimately retiring from Guam International Airport Authority.

Final Farewell for Maria on August 7th, 2023 will be held at Funeraria del Angel, 607 National City Blvd., National City, CA 91950. A Private Viewing for (Quitugua) Mariano - (Toves) Borja Immediate Family is offered 8:30-9:30am. Last Respects for Friends and Family 9:30am-12:30pm. Funeral Services begin at 12:30. Casket will close 1:30pm for transportation to grave site.
Grave Site Service at Glen Abbey Memorial Park 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902 will begin at 2pm, August 7th, 2023.
