Martha Alicia Galvan

Martha Alicia Galvan, who loved to be called “Ama’ by her children and her grandchildren, departed her loving family on September 18, 2023.

Martha was born in Mexico City on April 25, 1961 to Modesto and Aurelia Galvan.

Martha was a mother to Maria Ilda, Rudy, Juan and Stephanie, all born and raised in San Diego, California.

Martha worked in the hospitality industry majority of her life. Her favorite hobbies included spending time with her grandchildren and her dog Dozer and attending church. Aside from raising her children one of her proudest moments as a catholic was traveling Vatican City, on May 2017, to attend a Mother’s Day mass led by Papa Francisco. She enjoyed traveling, she visited several states to meet her grandkids as well as her great grandson. She also traveled to Germany, Rome, Paris, Florence, Brussels where she stopped to admire all churches along her travels.

Martha is survived by her 4 children, 7 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 1 great grandson, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Martha is survived by her 3 sisters and 1 brother in Mexico.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Jude’s Shrine on Wednesday October 18, 2023.
