Symeon Tsoupelis, born on October 26, 1941, in Xanthi, Greece, passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 84. A resident of Chula Vista, California, Symeon was a beloved and adventurous individual known for his bravery, compassion, and devotion. He was a faithful and generous man, gentle in his interactions, and hard-working in his endeavors. His honesty, humor, and inspirational nature were evident to all who knew him. Symeon was a kind-hearted, loyal, and thoughtful person, resilient and selfless, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom.

In his early life, Symeon pursued a career as a culinary chef, eventually owning his own restaurant, where he left a legacy and love for cooking. His adventurous spirit was reflected in his love for cooking, fishing, travel, singing, and entertaining. He was deeply interested in history, history books, and politics.

Symeon was married to Piedad Tsoupelis and was previously married to Anne Lawler Clark Tsoupelis. He is survived by his five children: Martina Volland, Symeon Tsoupelis Jr., Regina Tsoupelis, Thomas Tsoupelis, and Peter Tsoupelis. He also leaves behind grandchildren: Luca, Lavinia, Sofia, Symeon, Annie, Luke, and Dimetros, as well as stepchildren: Marlow, Mark, Mathew, and Vanessa.

Symeon's legacy is one of caring for others, always helping and giving selflessly. He took great pride in being a U.S. citizen and was dedicated to taking care of his family. Martina Volland, one of his children, expressed, "He came into my life and made it complete after a long search. He never felt like a stranger; the connection was strong and cherished from the moment we spoke."

Symeon Tsoupelis will be remembered as a wise and compassionate man who touched the lives of many with his kindness and generosity.
