Adrienne Lillian Marie Giroux

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the age of 83. Left to cherish her memory are her children Lynn Ponton (Bruce), Terry Noble, Michel Bibeau (Joan), Jeanne Sarkonak (Raymond), Lucy McWha (Les), David Giroux (Florence), Tracey Scott, Patty Gergely (Zoltan Jr.); 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her husband Robert Giroux, son Albert Bibeau and daughter Marie-Anne Bibeau.

Mom was born in Greenway, MB on November 15, 1929 and was raised in Baldur and Mariapolis, MB until she moved to Winnipeg as a teenager. Mom worked various jobs until she started her family in 1950. She enjoyed collecting angels, playing bingo, card games and yahtzee, knitting, her hairstyling sessions with her granddaughter Sherry, family gatherings and saying her nightly prayers.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing at 10:00 a.m. at St. Emile Church, 556 St. Anne's Road. Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery, Highway #1 East at Navin Road.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Mom's memory to a charity of one's choice.
