In God's Care

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Agatha Harder of Steinbach at the age of 90. The joy comes in knowing that she has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour.

She had a quiet faith that she was always willing to share with anyone around her. She was an amazing cook, family dinners were huge, delicious, made with love. She was an avid gardener, loved flowers and enjoyed birdwatching. She was also a gifted singer and really enjoyed gospel music.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, John (Signe) Harder, Robert (Irene) Harder, Don (Shirley) Harder, Steve (Mary) Harder, Al (Sheila) Harder, and Wayne (Jennifer) Harder, her siblings Mary Reimer, Helen Macdonald and George Goertzen, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents John and Susie, her husband Abe, her brothers, John, Abe, Dave, Peter, Henry, Bill and her sisters Susan and Anne.

Due to health restrictions, a private family service was held.

Memorial donations may be given to Bethesda Place recreation fund or to the charity of one’s choice.

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal. “ Being both soft and strong is a combination very few have mastered. Mom did. Her resilience was only surpassed by her kindness. And we, her family, are the recipients of her legacy.

She was a special lady and as her niece I was blessed to have had the privilege of visiting with her in 2010 when I went back to Steinbach. My memories also include looking after her boys when they were small. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
