Benoit "Ben" Pinel

On July 2, 2022 we said goodbye to our beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, Joseph Alphonse Benoit Pinel commonly known as Ben. He was born in Quebec City, Quebec on December 5, 1971.

Ben was predeceased by his father, Aldo Thibodeau. He is survived by his mother, Sylvie Pinel, his sister, Stephanie Pinel, mother of his children, Tina Christianson and his fiancé Lea-Ann Pohl. He leaves behind his children Raelene (James), Jesse (Jessica), Alyssia, Nicholas (Selena), Alexis (Brent), and his stepchildren Stephanie (Kyle) and Austin (Cora). He will be greatly missed by his 8 grandchildren and his niece.

He loved hard but fought harder. He was a proud racing fan and could always tell you the exact stats of his favourite drivers. On his last trip, he got to see his favourite racer reach the number one spot and even got to fulfil his dream of watching qualifying in the rain. Throughout his career he was proud to be a lead driver that left a lasting impression that will be felt long after his passing.

Per his wishes, there will be a "Come and Go" Celebration of Life held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the local children’s charity ‘The Dream Factory’ in his name.
