Diane Joyce Wear

It is with great sadness we share the passing of Diane Joyce Wear. Diane passed quietly on November 25, 2022 at Deer Lodge Centre in Winnipeg.

She was predeceased by her parents Herb and Alice Tayler; sister and brother-in-law Beverly and Ewen Rice.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 54 years, Richard. Her children Daniel (Karen) Wear, Brenda (Donald) Coates, William (Shauna) Wear; grand children Garrett (Whitney) Wear, Heather (Mike) Wear, Kristen (Robert) Lesperance, Cole (Janie) Wear, Emma (Dylan) Ritchie, Robyn (Bryan) Mancini and great-grandchildren Landon, Elizabeth, Bennett, Harper and Nova. Diane also leaves behind her brother David (Reta) Tayler and niece Janet Rice.

Diane was raised in Winnipeg and raised her three children in Winnipeg. She and Richard spent their retirement years in Windsor, Ontario where she enjoyed time with her sister-in-laws and their families, returning to Winnipeg in 2021.

Diane loved to be outside, enjoying nature, walking and camping. She had a deep affection for animals and children. She started to volunteer at her children’s schools and then chose to spend her working years as a teachers aide and receptionist at Victor Wyatt School. Diane then spent her later career working with MacDonald Youth Services in Winnipeg.

Diane was happiest being with family, talking and laughing and just being together. She loved to celebrate birthdays and other holidays together as a family. Diane had a special place in her heart for her grand-children and loved nothing more then spending time with them.

A special thank-you to the dedicated staff at Deer Lodge Centre (T3 and T6).

The family has chosen to have a private ceremony to honour Diane’s life.
