Heaven just got lucky. Donna was my very first boss, at the age of 16 I worked at Warehouse One on Henderson and at that time Donna was the Assistant Store Manager. I was happy to run into Donna again while we lived in Lorette and our sons played hockey together for a short while. It was then that I realized that Roger was also a friend of my partner and his family, so it was not too long ago that I got to see Donna again at a family event. She looked amazing, as she always did, with that smile that I will never forget. I feel lucky to have had known such a wonderful human being. SHINE bright Donna, as you always did. I first met Donna when I started to work for Warehouse One.   She came to a small office Christmas party and right away I noticed her because she lit up the room with her cheer and optimism.  I didn't really get to know her until a few years later when she came into the office more.  Lucky for me, she became a great resource and helpmate when I encountered any difficulties or uncertainties when dealing with people at store level.  Then we became friends and we would talk whenever I encountered her in the office.  She was always bright and cheerful, and made you feel better about your day.  I will miss her greatly.  My sincere condolences to her family and friends.  Heaven has gained a very beautiful person.
  

I grew into the woman I am today because of Donna's leadership at WH1 and the many other strong women she had under her wing. Many of us admired her strength and determination in a sometimes male dominated field and her persistence and tenacity for doing what she believed in will always stick with me.
I know she will be deeply missed but I also know she will be watching over her family with love and support. 

Ps. I have a fond memory of eating taco salad at the restaurant in Portage Place while we flipped the store and I watched in amazement the women talk about all the amazing things they planned to accomplish.

Donna was one of the first people I met at Warehouse One in 1998.   She was welcoming  kind,  encouraging, and incredibly positive.
She taught me how to fold a pair of jeans, how to engage with a customer and add-on to a sale like no other.  She was competitive in sales, yet gave empathy where needed.
Her WH1 legacy can be seen today and for many more years to come on sales floors across the country.  Thank you for sharing her with us.

With every personal conversation I had wth Donna we always connected about our families.  She loved her family dearly, and was so proud of her children (and so excited post retirement to share news of grandchildren).

Heaven gained a new Angel, and our sky shines brighter tonight knowing we have Donna shining light on us.

Donna was special in so many ways. I will remember her bright outlook on life, her beautiful spirit, and the love she showed as a wife, a mom, an energetic team leader, and always a thoughtful friend. 

She will be missed.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Donna’s passing. I worked for Donna for five years in my first corporate role. Under Donna’s guidance I built a foundation for my corporate career. Often over the years I have recalled lessons she taught me or wise words she shared with me.  Donna was passionate and dedicated but more than anything she was thoughtful and caring. My favourite memories are of her excitement for and attention to detail for the awards dinners. She thoughtfully shopped for and named each award personally for each person. She presented each award with carefully considered words that always showed how well she knew her team. I still display my awards proudly. We had stayed in contact over the years. I will miss her updates and her quiet presence. I am so grateful for these blessings.

She was such a special lady, and I’m so thankful for the time we worked together. She always had time to listen and worked very hard. Her sunny disposition lit up the room and it was impossible not to have a smile on your face after seeing her. We were on a few spirt committee teams and and she was so much fun! She cared a lot about our charities and I always looked forward to her beautiful and funny poems at special events.

Condolences to Roger and the entire family, I am so sadden today, the earth has lost a true gem.  I worked with Donna for 20 years, lots of hard work, many laughs, many tears and oh so many talks. She was quite the competitor in everything she did,  good enough was not acceptable it had to be the best, she put 110% in everything she did.  I have many treasures, poems and memories  of her,  she put so much thought and care in all that she did.  Donna had such a way with her, she could light up an entire room even on the darkest day. She was such a pleasure to know and I consider myself lucky that I could call her not only a colleague but also a friend, she has left a large footprint in my heart.  💙🥂

I am deeply saddened to hear of Donna's passing. She was a ray of sunshine. She was my boss at WH1 for 7 years. She was force to be reckoned with and at the same time warm and caring. I still have many knickknacks she gave me while working with her. She was witty and funny. She was encouraging and supportive. 
I will always remember one day I was sitting at my desk and she called me from the parking lot and asked me to come meet her. We needed to go to the airport and I wasn't to tell anyone. I was intrigued, where we going to jet off too. Turns out she needed me to circle the airport while she ran in and exchanged a suitcase that she mistakenly took as hers. I teased her about that for a long time.  She probably still doesn't want me to tell anyone.


I have the warmest memories of Donna's smile and respectful demeanor; she was a lovely person to work with.

Wishing comfort and consolation, strength and peace to family and other loved ones. I hope the joy and love felt from heartfelt memories soon begin to eclipse the of pain of her loss.

Donna was an amazing mentor and leader. She held the respect and admiration of everyone she ever worked with over the years, both at Warehouse One and beyond.  She was the consummate professional and a very special lady.
