Peacefully, at the West Park Manor Personal Care Home, Edith passed away at the age of 92 years.
She is survived by her son Brian (Kelly), granddaughter Jenna (Justin), brother in law Herbert, and sister in law Elizabeth, and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by husband Henry and brother Hans.
Born in Achtrup, Germany in 1931, Edith moved to Canada in 1952, following Henry who arrived the previous year. Trained as a Seamstress, Edith worked in the garment trade in Winnipeg until the birth of her son, when she set up shop in her home, doing everything from alterations to grad dresses and entire bridal parties. Edith and Henry were able to enjoy the cottage they built near Minaki, Ontario for nearly 50 years, and as well spent many enjoyable winters in Florida.
