Gladys will be deeply missed by her children, Thomas Grant (Michele), Kelly Dawn McPherson (Glenn), her grandchildren, Cole Grant (Charlotte), and Taryn Grant (Harry Spavin), as well as her brother, Lawrence Moore (Lorraine). She is preceded in death by her husband, Lionel, and her sister, Margaret Ward.
Throughout her life, Gladys exemplified creativity, particularly through her passion for designing beautiful flower arrangements. Her talent flourished during her years with the St. Albans quilting group, where she honed her skills for design under the guidance of her mother, Edith Moore. Music was another passion she shared, bringing joy to those around her. Gladys found solace and community in singing with the church choir at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, where her voice lifted spirits and enriched worship services.
Fond memories were often made at the family cabin her father DeVeber Moore built on Betula Lake, where Gladys enjoyed hosting gatherings and engaging in her favorite pastime of fishing, eagerly calling out "fish on" in hopes of catching the elusive 'big one'.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the 1st floor staff at Meadowood Manor for their unwavering care and compassion during Gladys' stay, providing comfort not only to her but to her family as well.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Gladys' honor to Meadowood Manor, St. Annes Rd, Winnipeg.
A gathering of remembrance will be held on August 7, 2024, 11:00am at Green Acres Funeral Home.
Gladys Grant's warm spirit, kind heart, and vibrant personality will be forever cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal beauty she so effortlessly created in life.
