Heinrich Ernst Wilhelm Brockmann

Peacefully after a brief illness, it is with deep regret and sadness that we announce the passing of Heinrich Ernst Wilhelm Brockmann on May 5, 2014 at 86 years of age. Heinrich will be lovingly remembered by his wife and soul mate of 60 years, Eugenie; Daughters Gudrun Brockmann and Lilly (Bill) Kaminski; Grandaughter Jennifer (Dwayne) Gregorash; and great grandchildren Leah, Braeden, Rylan and Austin. Also remembering Heinrich are numerous family members in Germany.

Heinrich was predeceased by his parents, Ernst and Karolina Brockmann of Lienen, Germany as well as four brothers and one sister.

Heinrich immigrated to Canada in 1954 to start a successful life with his wife. He worked hard at different trades to create a fulfilled life for his family. Heinrich retired from Hansch Construction in 1992 to enjoy his favorite hobby, gardening. Heinrich was known to be a quiet, hard working man who was always willing to help his family and friends. He took pride in his home and worked hard to ensure his yard was always immaculate. He found joy in spending time with his great grandchildren and tinkering in his garage.

Funeral services will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home & Cemetery, Hwy #1 E at Navin Road on Thursday May 8, 2014 at 10:00 am with interment to follow. The family would like to express special thanks to family, friends, and the staff at Concordia General Hospital during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
