The purest relationship in my eyes is what we have, a grandma and granddaughter.
Since the day we our little fingers figured out how to dial your number we would call you all the time, in the middle of the night if we were scared and needed your comfort, if had exciting news,or when just wanted to talk. Even though you wont be on the other end of the phone anymore,our conversations will never end. You have given me so many memories, most that will make me smile and laugh out loud when i get down.i love you so much gramma,and i miss you more and more everyday.i know your  enjoying every second watching over us all, we will continue to make you proud. your in our hearts forever and always xo

Jean Welburn (Dudman)
 Born in 1935 in her family home Burnt River Ontario by a midwife. Mom was such a small baby that her parents would place her on the oven door to keep her warm. 
She grew up on the family farm with 1 sister and 2 brothers helping with all the chores from working in the barn, collecting maple syrup, and always helping her parents with the horses. She had some Clydesdales for pulling cut trees out of the bush for fire wood. 
 She joined the Fenelon Cadets in 1950, she also was part of the Hurricane Hazel storm of 1954, and she went on to work as a typist at Confederation Life in Toronto in 1955 she really enjoyed working.
Married in 1956 and had 6 children 4 boys Randy, John, Gord, Ken and 2 girls Mary & Susan from that point she was a stay at home mom. 
She had her hands full with all of us kids, but she loved every minute of it. 
Mom moved to Bobcaygeon Ontario and made that her home for 28 wonderful years. She joined the Horticultural Society, worked at Hillcroft (nursing home) for a while. 
She had a little Chiwawa “Tiny” she would carry around in her pocket they were inseparable.  She would never miss the local parades. The pipe band would play and as they pass by a tear would come to mom's eyes as she always had a love for them. Love to watch the Santa Clause parades as she was always a child at heart.
Mom was looking for a bargain or trinket to keep from the local bazar, flee market or yard sale.
Whenever she went out she would always keep a little memento from where she went, (a sugar packet, napkin, mint a ticket receipt the list goes on. She never was a person that wanted anything for herself she always gave to others and was fine doing without.
Mom moved to Winnipeg December of 2008.
As the years went by the family grew to 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and is still growing.
Mom always cherished and had a special place for all the little ones as she adored them they kept her young at heart and a smile on her face. She was always proud of her children's accomplishments and hobbies and always wanting to be a part of them.  She had a passion for animals, flowers / Plants as no one could figure out how she could grow such large plants with little effort, Cardinals were her favorite bird. She always loved Morning glories and a good cup of tea. 
 She has travelled to parts of Canada from Cullen Gardens (Whitby Ont.) to the Alaska Highway in Dawson Creek B.C., as well as the Calgary Stampede.
She then moved into Bethania Personal Care home where she made even more friends, she has and always will leave a wonderful lasting impression.




A message from our sister Mary & family ….With heavy hearts we held you close, comforted you and said good bye. While I grasp for the right words to show how treasured you are and celebrate your life...to share comforting thoughts with my brothers and sister that speak of you... I find it in a letter you wrote ...." I sit here having a cup of tea surrounded by so many memories, laughter, tears and pride in my family"...then you shared that someone brought to you a gift with a saying that many of us have heard from you. "near me is a 1/2 cup that has a note on it. The note read....I wish we could sit down together and drink a cup of tea, But as we can't when you sip this, I hope you think of me." We will put on the kettle, stop and take time for a cup of tea and no matter where we are, we will think of you. We love you Mom....forever in our hearts.......Mary, Mike & Alisha
