Jolan Csontos

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Jolan Csontos, a wife, a mom, a grandmother, and a great grandmother Monday, March 28, 2022 at the age of 82. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered in our hearts.

Jolan is survived by her loving husband Karoly of 66 years, children Charlie, Les; grandchildren Kyle, Stephanie, Adam and Andrew; great grandchildren Athena; brother Bela Zakar; brother in-law Zoli Csontos as well as family and friends in Hungary and BC.

Jolan was born in Ond, Hungary on April 2, 1939. In 1956 Jolan and Karoly left Hungary and travelled to France where they were married. They came to Winnipeg, Canada in July of 1957.

Jolan was a very caring mother and was extremely devoted to her family. She was not only a mother to her 2 sons but to her grandchildren as well who lost their mother suddenly quite early in their lives. She was always there for support and encouragement. Jolan was especially fond of baking and cooking. She would often make Hungarian delicacies for family and friends especially within the Hungarian community. Her caring and lovely smile will be missed.
