Louise Susan Marie Benson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Benson (nee Paleshnuik) on May 3, 2023 at the age of 63 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Left to cherish her memory is her boyfriend Peter Schulz, brothers Grant and Rudy Paleshnuik, and her childhood friend Cathy Caldwell. She is predeceased by her parents Rudy and Agnes.

Louise retired as a healthcare worker for over 30 years at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. Her pastimes in life were bingo, crafting and she was a “Queen” of scrabble. She hosted many game nights over the years with a great group of friends.

Louise was a wonderful mom to her cats. She had a heart of gold and even put out Easter eggs in the neighbors and her childhood friend Cathy’s yard for the children.

Louise loved her getaways to Grand Forks and trips to Mahnomen to the Shooting Star Casino.

Those who knew her would say she was a kind, caring and generous person always there to help anyone who needed it. She was honorable, trustworthy and worked hard to make a life for herself despite her physical challenges later in life. Louise loved life and always managed to remain positive and happy through anything life had to throw at her. Louise was an amazing person.

Louise will be remembered as a kind loving soul and will be greatly missed.
