Marie Lorraine Mills

July 11, 1939 - January 31, 2019

On Thursday January 31, 2019, Marie, aged 79 years passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at St. Boniface Hospital.

Mum will rejoin her late husband Gordon Mills as well as her parents Robert and Laura Cappan. She will be missed and remembered by her three children Lisa (Carey) Chartier, Dana (Grant) Stevenson, Jason (Leslie) Perring. Her sisters Linda Jans and Irene Genzelevich and brother Robert Cappan Jr. Marie also leaves behind her stepsons Kerry Mills, Kevin (Rae) Mills and Scott (Natalie) Mills. Mum's heart was full of Love, Happiness and Pride for her grandchildren Blake Chartier (Karina), Brett Chartier (Stef), Brandi Chartier (Tyler), Mackenzie Stevenson (Tyler), Brenlee Stevenson (Sonil), Laine and Jonah Perring, Katie Sobiski (Arlo), Georgia Mills, Zoe Mills and Zach Parkinson and finally great grandsons Dawson Chartier and Sawyer Sobiski.

Mum had many friends that the family wishes to thank for their love and friendship especially over the last several months. Aline, you were so much more than her cleaning lady, you were her dear friend for many years and your visits were very special to her. Sandra DeLeon and Joanne Macey, you both extended your hand to Marie over the years, your kindness and friendships were a wonderful part of her life. Most notably her schoolgirl friends Isla, Lynn and Pat. Mum always looked forward to your monthly "Golden Girl" lunches and was so proud of the decades of friendship that you all shared.

Mum left us too soon but we have many memories and the comfort and confidence in knowing that she absolutely knew how much we loved her and we know how she loved all of us.

Mum has been cremated and there will be a service at a future date.
