Mary was born in Winnipeg on November 1, 1919. She and her husband Clifford were married on April
27, 1946 and resided in St. Vital during their 54 years of marriage.
She was predeceased by her husband Clifford, her parents, and her brother Douglas. Mary will be lovingly
remembered by her children, son Clifford (Angela) and their children, Kristen (Ron), their children, Sara,
Hanna and Emma; Travis (Natasha), their children, Jaxon and Parker; son Doug (Donna) and their children,
Jeffrey, Amanda (Trish) and Derek; daughter Debbie (Bud) and their children, Shannon (Chris), their
children, Caillen and Mason; and Christopher. She will also be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law
Katherine Mulholland and many nieces and nephews.
Mary worked in various departments of the Province of Manitoba for 27 years. She was admired and
respected by all those she worked with.
Mary defined the word "lady". She was a very special woman devoted to her family and her love was
unconditional through all times. She was always there whenever her family needed her and she taught us
love, compassion and patience.
She loved watching her sons and later on her grandchildren participate in their sporting activities. She was
their biggest fan. She also enjoyed Sunday mornings watching her sons curl with the Nicolett Curling
Club.
When her husband passed away, Mary went to live with her daughter Debbie and her husband Bud. She
looked forward to and enjoyed their many trips to the US. Mary was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan and
she and Debbie went to Minneapolis and Toronto to see some live games which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Mary and her family spent many happy summers at West Hawk Lake, where many special memories were
made. Mom always looked forward to being there with all her children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
Special thanks to Charleswood Care Centre where Mom spent her last three years. Their kindness and
compassion was much appreciated.
A very special thanks also to all the staff at 4 North at the Grace Hospital (especially Dr. D. Martin, nurses
Tracey and Kristine). Your kindness, care and compassion went above and beyond and was truly appreciated.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Mary's memory to a charity of your choice.
