Nellie Davies

Nellie leaves behind her children Bonnie (John), Bev (Brent); her grandchildren Krista (David), Cheryl (Travis) and Laura (Mark) and her great-grandchildren; Kate, Natasha; Tyler, Jared, Shaun; Alfie and Margot. She also leaves her sisters-in-law Sophie Zahranchek and Shirley Davies as well as numerous nieces and nephews and her wonderful friend and neighbour Kathy Wilkinson.

Nellie was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan September 24, 1928. Her family moved to Monominto, Manitoba and as a young woman she met the love of her life Andy Davies. They had over 60 wonderful years together till Dad passed in 2008. Mom was a country girl and loved her life on the farm. She had a real green thumb and was envied by all for her beautiful yard and gardens. Mom was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Each generation has enjoyed their time with her- Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma (GG) - always the center of our family.

The family would like to thank the entire staff on the Cornish Two Interim Care at the Misericordia Health Center for the care and compassion given to Mom in the months she was with them.

A service celebrating Mom’s life will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM, interment following the service in the Green Acres Cemetery.

Mom is at peace. Her life is complete.
