It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Oscar Samuel Carriere on April 7, 2022 at the age of 71.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Donna; his son, Dean; and his precious grandsons Sam and Sutter. He is also survived by his sister Therese Chaput and Anne Carriere as well as many cousins and nieces and nephews.
Oscar was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Anna (nee Demarcke); sisters Mary Lou (Dolly), Marianne and Josephine; his brothers, Daniel, Joe and Hector.
Oscar grew up in Lorette, MB and after graduation married Donna. They were busy raising their son Dean and enjoying many family outings camping, fishing, golf and of course, hockey.
He made many long-time friends when he worked at CN in Transcona as a Boiler Maker then finished his work career at Tri-Clad Designs as shop foreman. Always sharing special friendships with his co-workers, nothing made him happier than to socialize with family and friends.
Thank you to the staff at Ste. Anne Hospital for their passionate care in his final days. No funeral is planned, as per his request, and cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial donation be made to Cancer Care Manitoba in his memory.
