Raymond D. Houde

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Raymond Dennis Houde on January 26, 2022 at the age of 87 years. He was a special man with a strong, kind soul who cared for the people around him and never spoke ill of others.

Left to cherish his memory is his second wife Sharon, son Kim (Sandra), daughter Lynn (Andrew), Step-children Boyd (Ginette) Lischenski, and Rae (Rémi) Gagnon. Raymond will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Shawn (Jessica), Ami, Alex, Erica and Jonah. Raymond was predeceased by his first wife of 40 years Doreen Ricky (Keilback) and siblings John, Ron, and Teresa.

Raymond had a passion for motorcycles and won many trophies for his achievements in ice racing and hill climbing. He was a lifetime member of the Manitoba Motorcycle Association as well as the Antique Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed a long career of 60 years with Princess Auto where his commitment and loyalty were memorialized with a star located on the floor at the Panet Road store.

In keeping with Raymond’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
