At 18, she left the farm and moved to Winnipeg. In Winnipeg she worked as a waitress, then in a candy factory. She met William Trelinski and married in 1967. During her marriage she had 3 children, Rick, Phillip and Cindy. Rosie also worked for sewing factories, catering companies, then for Home Care, taking care of others for over 20 years before retiring.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, flowering, cooking, shopping, going out to restaurants for breakfast or dim sum for lunch.
Her family all loved her cooking, especially her homemade borscht and cabbage rolls. Every year she always planted geranium flowers one of her favorites and always gave away tomatoes and cucumbers to family and friends to share from her garden.
She was a loyal soap opera fan and never missed an episode of her favorite soap, The Young and The Restless which she watched every day for over 40 years. Every morning, she enjoyed watching "her show" the game show "The Price Is Right", and could be heard throughout the house playing along. In the afternoons she learned about the law with Judge Judy. She enjoyed every day connecting with family by talking on the phone, many days for hours on end.
In warm weathers she enjoyed going for walks in the park with her dogs. She owned 12 dogs throughout her life, 9 of them, her favorite dog breed, chihuahua.
She enjoyed listening to country music, one of her favorites George Jones whom she saw in concert and treasured seeing in person.
Rosie was predeceased by her husband of over 36 years, William, her parents, the late Paul and Phyllis Kemash, her sisters Stella and Florence and brothers Lawrence and Peter.
