Vincenza Mangano

It is with great sadness, yet heartfelt faith and celebration of a life beautifully lived, that we say “arrivederci ad un altro giorno” to our strong, committed Mamma and Nonna, Vincenza Mangano. Vincenza passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 21, 2012, in Winnipeg, MB, at 88 years of age.

Born in Termini Imerese, Sicily on August 26, 1924, Vincenza married her husband of 63 years, Croce, in 1945 before immigrating to a new home in Canada in 1952. Vincenza’s exceptional strength and determination to provide for her family not only made the move possible but very successful. Vincenza’s commitment and passion for her family’s well-being allowed the family to prosper and grow in a new country.

Missing her dearly, both in example and spirit, are her children Matteo (Christine), Josephine (Richard), Teresa (Michael), Anna (Todd), and Vincenzo Brambilla; grandchildren Tara (Dana), Tyler (Glenda), Matthew, Paul, Joanna (Ryan), Ben and Adriana, as well as brothers, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m. with Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will take place in Holy Angel Mausoleum at Green Acres Cemetery, Highway #1 East at Navin Rd.
