To the Soto/Perry family: I remember ChaCha as a very young child. She was my first cousin.
When I heard of her passing, I was taken back to that memory. Through a child's eyes I remember her smile and a lively personality. Throughout the years I have heard stories of ChaCha which has kept me somewhat connect to her. My brother Richard Soto grew up in Needles, therefore knowing ChaCha and her children well.

At this time, my brother Richard, his family, and I offer the Soto/Perry family our sincerest condolences. We are sorry for your loss. I find peace in knowing God does not take my love ones from me, he receives them back home. May your hearts be lighten at this time and your spirit peaceful.

Warmest regards,
Janice Soto Tallman

(Son and daughter of Louis Soto, brother to Raymond Soto, ChaCha's father)

I was privileged to meet Margaret! What a character and what a wonderful giving person she was. You could count on Margaret for help. If she said something, she meant it. And she wasn’t afraid to let you know the truth.
Thank you, Margaret, for making my life and that of a whole lot of other people better and richer. We won’t forget you!

I met Margaret (Cha Cha) as a student in high school. She would prepare the most beautiful flower arrangements for
my mother. I was touched by her laugh, infectious smile, and charismatic personality. Later, she took me under her wing by hiring me through TEAM and then guiding me spiritually by becoming my Godmother. John would make his yummy salsa for a snack while Cha Cha would grill me in my spiritual studies. She never stopped persuing her passion for God or leading by example.

Cha Cha will be an eternal light to those of us who were blessed to know her. My condolences to those who have lost a great friend, family member, and loved one.

Margaret graduated with my sister Ilene Hinds in 1957, I really got to know ChaCha, as she called herself then, when my children & I were living on North K street here in Needles, The house my children and I lived in was a small house now painted blue. ChaCha & her family, husband John, children Cindy, Julie & Johnny, lived 2 houses from us. My oldest son Eddie would play together with Johnny at different times. I remember once my son Eddie and Johnny followed his grandfather to the river. I remember the times we had visits drinking coffee together.

Margaret & I were in touch over the years, Margaret was the kind of lady you didn’t forget, her smile, laugh, just everything about Margaret. My son Jimmy & I moved back to Needles last year, my home town. We got in touch with Margaret it was so good to see her again.

Margaret, you will be missed, we love you
It was a shock to both me & my son to learn from Face Book she had passed. When I did talk to Margaret there never seemed to be anything wrong, both of us just were in the dark as to what happened. We sit and wonder why, was she sick with something she didn’t want anyone to know? Margaret was somewhat a private person. We love you Margaret
