ALMA LOUISE (CRAYNON) BROOKS, 94, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016. The daughter of the late Raymond and Ollie Hansford Craynon, Alma was born June 1, 1922 in Barren Fork, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley E. Brooks; and children, Billy Herman Brooks and Nora Jane Vernatter.
Survivors include her children, Louise Gibbs (Robert), Wiley Brooks (Drema), and Jerry Brooks (Pamela); brother, Charles Alan Craynon; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm ~ 7:30 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. A Closing Service will be held at 7:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home with private burial at Mountain View Memory Gardens in Huddy, Kentucky.
