

Arthur "Butch" R. Dierking, age 80, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024. Born on September 11, 1944, in New Albany, Indiana, Butch dedicated his life to his craft as an auto body repairman, spending the majority of his career at Clapp Oldsmobile in Clarksville, Indiana. His passion for automobiles extended beyond work as he enjoyed restoring multiple cars and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Butch cherished spending time with family and friends, often enjoying camping trips, watching classic westerns, and listening to live country music. He had a warm heart and a profound sense of humor, bringing joy to those around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard, and Clara (Hardin) Hash.
Butch is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Janice Dierking; his son, Kevin (Kim) Dierking; his daughter, Lori (Kenneth) Belcher; his cherished grandchildren, Erin (Rob) Turk, Kyle (Isaiah) Hickman, Alton Belcher, Summer Dierking, and Claire Belcher; his great-grandchildren, Miller Hickman and Andie Turk; his sisters, Phyllis Snider and Lynn Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Butch's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A visitation for Butch will be held on Monday, November 4th, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday, November 5th, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024 at Kraft Funeral Service with a graveside to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be sent to St. Jude's Hospital.
