Barbara Rose Gullion

Barbara Rose Gullion, age 81, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, with her children by her side. Barbara was born on August 6, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Clarence and Leona Coy. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant with over 40 years of service and a member of St. Paul Baptist Church at Shively Heights. She put God first, her family second, and believed everything else followed. She was an avid reader, loved to write poetry, loved to cook for her family and friends, and watched every episode of I Love Lucy a multitude of times. She was sassy, had a magnetic personality, and never met a stranger. She was a shining example of God’s love and her light shone through to all who encountered her presence.

She is survived by her children, Glenda Robertson, Kenneth Essex (Victoria), Marc Gulden, April D. Parkerson, and Donia Addison (David); 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Barbara Rose was preceded in death by her grandson, James Sayre, 3 brothers and a sister.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.

Barbara will be laid to rest in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
