Betty J. McKinley Hays, 80, passed away at Rolling Hills Nursing home on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. She was born January 27, 1932 in Salem, IN to her late parents, Homer and Ruby Curtis. Betty was retired from Kroger in New Albany after 32 years, and was a member of Depauw Memorial United Methodist Church. She volunteered at Floyd memorial Hospital, Floyd County Humane Society, and the Thrift Shop at her Church. Betty was preceded in death by her husbands Paul L. McKinley and Charley Hays, sisters Bessie Beasley, Opal Nelson, and Nellie Dailey, and a brother Gary Curtis
She is survived by her nephew Billy Ray Dailey, nieces Betty J. Goss, and Sharon Hacker, and many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Saturday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana
