BETTY L. MOORE HICKS, 69 years of age, died Saturday August 1, 2015 at Floyd Memorial Hospital. Betty was born in New Albany, Indiana on November 19, 1945 to the late Charles and Dorothy (Sceifers) Moore Sr. She worked in sterile processing for both Floyd Memorial and Jewish Hospitals for many years until her retirement. She was a former member of Culbertson Baptist Church and the Collie Club of Kentucky. She loved her Collie dogs and showing them but most of all she loved her husband and family. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, John K. Hicks; daughter, Sandy Bates and her husband, John; and brother, Jim Moore and his wife, Dottie.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 4th, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel. Private burial will be in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
