

Funeral services and a celebration of life for Betty Morrison Love, 81, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m., Monday, June 4, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died, received into her Savior’s arms, on Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
She loved the large Scotch-Irish family from which she came. My people she called them. She raised her own family with deep roots, profound love, laughter, and prayer. Her lifelong friendships with Betty Mix and Helen Leonard are a testament to the loyalty and joy she shared in this life. To all the friends she made in the years working at the Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company, Stockyards Bank and Trust, the Blue Boar, and also as a dance instructor throughout Southern Indiana and Kentucky, she wished a good-bye. She was a members of Culbertson Avenue Baptist Church, Main Street Methodist Church, and Walnut Street Baptist Church, know her as a fellow believer, laborer for Christ, and friend.
Survivors include two sons, John Love and a second son, both U.S. veterans; daughter, Janet Love Snow and her husband, Stephen; six grandchildren, Arlie Davis, Joshua Love, Christopher Snow, Erin Snow, Stephanie Love and Veronica Love; and three great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Andrew and Isabella, all cherished her and surrounded her in love.
Preceded in death by her parents, William Oliver and Pearl Stotts Morrison; brother, William Morrison Jr.; and her husband, George E. Love, U.S. Naval veteran of WWII.
We love her. We grieve for her. We will see her again in heaven.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Come celebrate her life.
