

Betty Lou (Harder- Hatzell) Peacock 87 years of age passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Wednesday May 7th, 2014. She was born in Stillwater, MN September 9th, 1926 to the late Wynter and Gladys (Andersen) Jacobson. Betty lived in San Francisco for much of her teen years before moving to Jeffersonville, Indiana where she attended and graduated from Jeffersonville High School. Betty was a beautiful and gifted lady and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by spouses; George Harder, Bill Hatzell, and Gene Peacock. A special thanks to the Hosparus team who cared for Betty the past couple of months. Especially to caregivers Mary Stroud who so lovingly cared for her these past few years and more recently Shellie Macpherson for her dedicated and loving care.
Survivors include her sons, George Harder and wife Teresa, Gerald Harder and wife Pat; grandsons, Brandon and Evan Harder; great grandson, Baxley Harder
Reception of family and friends will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Saturday May 10th, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm Saturday evening in the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel with cremation to follow.
