Beulah Hanger Pittman

Beulah Hanger Pittman, 90, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Beulah was born May 17, 1931 in Marengo, Indiana to the late Denzil Key and Edith Bowman Meriwether. She was retired from the City of New Albany where she worked for two mayors and was the first woman to be in charge of the sanitization department. Beulah was a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society, Tri County Shrine Club, VFW Lodge 3281 and American Legion Post 28 and the Red Men Club.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Pittman; a son, Scott Hanger; a daughter, Marlene Hanger and a daughter-in-law, Sara Hanger.
Beulah is survived by two children, Suzann Ament and Ronald Hanger; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Neal) Young and Cathy McFarland; brothers, Larry Meriwether and Tony (Cheri) Meriwether; beloved relatives, Linda and George Key; dear friend, Diane Sears; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Beulah will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with entombment in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
