Beverly G. Ruckel

Beverly G. Ruckel, 86, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, June 4, 2026, surrounded by loved ones, at Autumn Woods Health Campus, New Albany, Indiana. Along with the loving care of Southerncare Hospice Services. She was loved and well cared for by all at Autumn Woods; many had become like family to Beverly and her family.

Beverly was born August 12, 1939, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Daniel & Gladys McKee. They later moved, and she grew up in Lafayette, Indiana.

Beverly, at the age of 17, dedicated her life and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She proudly spent the next 70 years, until she fell asleep in death, teaching all she came in contact with to know and love the God of the Bible, Jehovah, and His son Jesus Christ. Her greatest joys were being with her family, sharing the Good News from the Bible, and singing the Kingdom Melodies with the congregation.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Shirley Coomer.

Beverly is survived by two children, daughter Donna J. (Tim) Berg of Marion, Indiana, and son Daniel A. (Babette) Ruckel of Floyds Knobs, Indiana. Grandchildren: Brianne E. (Nick) Bender; Emily Ruckel; Ethan (Bethany) Ruckel. Also, several cousins and their families.

A Celebration of Life with a dinner pitch-in will be held at Floyds Knobs Community Club, 4032 Weber Lane, Floyds Knobs, on July 18, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
