Eulogy from Tim:

I could stand up here and tell you how much Britt means to me… how much she means to my family… how our lives are so much better because of knowing her…. I could describe for you how beautiful, smart, fun, funny, sometimes stubborn and opinionated she was…But I don’t think there are enough words and definitely not enough time to express how special of a person she was… I have known Britt for long time… and have spent an awful lot of time with her. She probably knows me better than anyone, and I probably know her better than most. Because of that, what I would like to do today is not share with you what Britt means to me…. but what you all meant to her and what she would want to share with you if she were here today.

First, to everyone here today she would want you to know that its means the world to her that you are here to support her family this week. She would know how difficult this week has been for her family, but she would be thankful that all of you are here to support and comfort them in this very difficult time.

Second to her friends…. which there are so many. Her girls….which I have had the pleasure of getting to know, some more than others over the last 20 years…. To all of you she would say she loves you. The time spent with her friends meant everything to her. Girls trips, concerts, volleyball, whatever it was those were the times she cherished the most. She would want you to remember her in those times and continue to enjoy life and know that whatever you do she will be right there with you having a goodtime like she always did… with that classic Brittney smile.

To her sister in law Erin… she would want to say thank you for marrying her brother…. That’s not to say that Matt prospects were thin by any means… but she knows how lucky he was to end up with you. Probably more than that … she would say thank you for the most incredible niece an aunt could have. I can’t tell you how much she loves Sydney and how excited she was to spend time with her. I know for a fact Sydney will forever have a guardian angel in her aunt Britt…. watching over her, watching her grow, and loving every minute of it.

Matt…she is so proud of you. Countless times she would call and brag about you. The brother, husband, father, son you have become made her the proudest sister you could ever imagine. She would want you to know that she loved you so much and would say take care of Erin and Sydney and make sure you look after your mom.

Donna….I think there were times when didn’t know if you two were mother daughter, best friends or sisters… but there was never a time I didn’t know how much Britt loved you. Looking at everyone here today is a testament to the impact your daughter’s life made on so many people, the joy the we all got from knowing and loving her…..and this directly attributable to way you raised and loved her. I can’t thank you enough for that, and know that she loved you with all her heart.

This has been the worst week of my life… by a large margin. As I am sure it’s the same for many of you. And there is almost nothing anyone can say or do that makes this any easier. However, I do take some comfort from one thing….if only a small amount of comfort……I know 100% without a shadow of doubt that Britt is somewhere, hanging out with her father Tim, the man she loved more than anyone. I can only imagine how hard they each hugged when they saw each other. It doesn’t ease the pain, but it’s does give me a bit of comfort, and hopefully it gives you a bit of comfort as well.

Brittney was amazing… truly one of a kind….. a wonderful friend, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, co-worker and teammate..

She was also my best friend

I love her

And I will miss her

BrittBritt,
I've been avoiding social media because I really didn't want to believe any of this was real...
I look around and am constantly reminded of you.
From the start of our 20+ year friendship we were Kindred Spirits. We have remained close through so many life changes, in which I'm forever grateful.
Thank you, Brittney Lynn, for being such a sensitive soul with the brightest smile, for visiting through my travels, and for believing in and encouraging me whenever I doubted myself.
Thank you for loving my family and our friends so deeply, they all love you just as much or more.
Thank you for your compassion and strong feelings towards politics, women's rights, animal rights, and the environment.
Thank you for becoming an Ordained Minister!!! and marrying Jake and I so eloquently and professionally.
Thanks for faithfully being my "Buddy" through all of these years.
I find comfort thinking you are with your soul mate and best friend, your father, Tim Teives. I know he is thrilled to have you back in his loving arms.
Please look over us from time to time and keep us safe. I love you forever and may you forever rest in peace, my sister.
xoxo Anna

Brittney was such a special soul. We shared many a fun conversation when she joined our team at Humana. I can't remember what we talked about specifically, but I do remember dying of laughter almost every time. Her smile was bright and her heart was caring. She brought joy and laughter everywhere that she went. What a wonderful gift Brittney was to the world. She will be missed. My condolences to her family.

Brittney,
You were a bright soul and Humana was blessed to have your skills and talents for the time you spent with us. You always had a 'can do' attitude and went above and beyond in your work. You were more than a colleague. You were a part of my wedding day and I appreciate all that you and Brian did to make it special. I have a photo that I'll share from that day and it captures your spirit! Stephanie and I will miss you tremendously. We send your family lots of love and warm thoughts during this trying time. May you find peace...
