Carl Wathen Blacketer, 87, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Autumn Woods Health Campus. Carl was born January 10, 1935 in Mackville, Kentucky to the late Elmer and Hattie Shewmaker Blacketer. He was a member of Charlestown Road Church of Christ and was retired from Pillsbury with over 42 years of service. Carl was on the Board of Directors of Obelisk Credit Union. Upon retirement, Carl spent many years preaching the gospel and serving the elderly.
In addition to his parents, Carl was one of 16 children with 14 siblings preceding him in death.
Carl is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy Sims Blacketer; a daughter, Deena Walts (Mick); grandchildren, Ashley Sedam (Alex), Bret Walts (Callahan), Bryce Walts and Aubrey Walts; two great grandsons, Xander Sedam and Carson Sedam; a brother, Paul Blacketer; two sisters, Laverne Lee and Lavonne Kays; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Carl will be held Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
Funeral service will be Sunday, July 10, 2022 at 2:30 PM at the funeral home with private entombment at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
