Carl H. Helman Jr. 89 years of age died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany, Indiana. He was born August 19, 1927 in New Paris, Indiana to the late Carl Haskel Helman Sr. and Dorothy (Hall) Helman. Carl was a truck driver, bookkeeper for the Alrenco Co. and worked in packaging with the Legacy Co. for 12 years. He also served in the United States Coast Guard.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years Ella Mae (Welman) Helman; daughters, Pam Colligan, Patricia Glad (Glynn); sons, Dennis Helman, Don Jaggers (Bonnie); 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Paul Helman, Linda Warner; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Doris Welman.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with burial to follow at Wolfe Cemetery in Georgetown, Indiana.
