Obituary of Carolyn "Sissy" Jean Durbin
Carolyn "Sissy" Jean Durbin, 77, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. Carolyn was born August 11, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James Mike Minks and Lillian Louise Keene Lynch. She was a former floor designer with Lay-Z-Boy Furniture and later retired from the Better Business Bureau. Carolyn was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She was a avid oil painter and a meticulous seamstress where she enjoyed sewing special outfits for her great grandchildren. She was an amazing cook but was especially known for her Marker's Mark Bourbon Balls and Corn Pudding. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Carol Gossett. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ron Durbin; children, Dawn (Jeff Theobald) Webb, Rebecca (Mike) Jones, Wade (Dee) Meals, Mike (Dr. Lee) Meals, Chris Meals, Rita (Phil) Thomas and Rhonda Gritton; a sister, Beverly (Garland) Sharpe; grandchildren, Kimble, Luke, Tara, Krysteen, Nathan, Josh, Noelle, Audrey, Sara, Christina, Courtney, Scotty, Caleigh and Christian; eight great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation for Carolyn will be Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 both at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
