Charles "Roy" Beaven, 71, of Corydon, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Baptist Health Floyd. Roy was born October 14, 1949 in Elizabeth, Indiana to the late Charles Beaven and Bessie Hockman. He was retired from Airco Carbide and loved to hunt and fish.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Benson and Ruby Beaven; and a brother, Wayne Beaven.

Roy is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan Timberlake Beaven; two sons, Charles A. Beaven Sr. and Christopher Lee Beaven; three grandsons, Charles "C.J." A. Beaven Jr., Eric Beaven and Donovan Beaven; a sister, Edith (Gary) Pierson; a brother, James (Sandy) Beaven; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation for Roy will be Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd. Funeral service will be Monday, October 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with burial to follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.

Roy you was more then a brother in law you were a brother , friend and buddy I will miss you more then you will know . I would never thought after losing mom we would lose you a year later .Roy you will be greatly miss but mom has a euchre partner hug her tightly for me RIP Roy love you

You know it’s never easy to talk about when someone we love has to leave but to know they are in a better place always gives us comfort and memories of the life they lived Roy was a one of a kind he taught me so much when I was younger like how to put up change in cans and bottles to save for your kids he was always there for our family there so much I could share but I would be on here all night Charles and chris you have both grown into great parents and I’m sure he had a part in that I’m so sorry for your loss but I’m here if you need anything sue well you know if I can help ya with anything you know just to call family first was the best lesson love Gary Timberlake
