

Charles J. Good, Sr., 91 years of age died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Providence Retirement Home in New Albany. Charles was born January 13, 1920 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Peter and Mary (Brown) Good. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and retired from University of Louisville. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, St. Vincent DePaul Society, American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post #28, VFW Hobart Beach Post #1693, all in New Albany, and the Moose Lodge in Sellersburg. Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Good, son, Mike Good, brothers, Pat and Elbert Good, and sister, Mary Pontrich.
Survivors include his son, Charles J. Good, Jr. of Clarksville, IN; step-son, William Meyer of Georgetown, IN; step-daughters, Diane Cooke of Louisville, KY, Cindy Hytken of Louisville, KY, Mary Lou Hublard of New Albany, IN, Janet Rudy of New Albany, IN; brother, Peter Good of Pewee Valley, KY; sister, Rose Dunn of Louisville, KY; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; Special friend, Sharon Kitch of New Albany, IN
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help with burial and military honors to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany. The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
