Chester O. “Vernon” Robison, 97 years of age died Sunday January 28, 2018 at the Robert E. Lee Care Center in New Albany. He was born September 18, 1920 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Clarence and Minnie Belle (Stinson) Robison and was a retired employee of Anaconda Aluminum Company in Louisville, KY. Vernon loved to play Euchre, and spend time woodworking, fishing and being outdoors. He was a member of Floyds Knobs Christian Church and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters, and a grandchild Kevin Robison.
Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Ruth E. (Cadle) Robison; sons Richard “Rick” Robison (Pam), Michael “Mike” Robison (Jackie); grandchildren Michael, Crystal, Angel, Doug, Mike, Michelle; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
A Memorial Reception will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany with a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm Saturday in the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel. Private burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Floyds Knobs.
