Christopher Robert Sacheck was born on June 7, 1974, in Louisville, Kentucky. He passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 51. He was a Manufacturing Production Operator for Samtec and had been a loyal employee since April of 1999. To know Chris was to know a man who lived life at full volume. He was the ultimate host, the master of the grill, and the undisputed "life of the party." Whether he was sharing a punchline or cheering on his beloved Kentucky Wildcats and Dallas Cowboys, his contagious laugh was often the soundtrack of the room. An avid golfer and fisherman, Chris found peace on the green and at the water’s edge—though he was never too quiet to tell a good joke. More than his hobbies, he loved his family and friends. He was a devoted husband and father who lived for "his girls”, and he was a loyal friend. Chris will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will live on through the many lives he touched. His legacy of love, and laughter will not be forgotten.
Chris is preceded in death by a sister, Jeanna Sacheck; maternal grandparents, Gene and Ann Alexander; and paternal grandparents, John and Mary Sacheck.
Chris is survived by his wife, Leona Sacheck; a daughter, Brittany Watson (Isiah); mother, Bonnie Peak (James); father, Robert "Bob" Sacheck; a brother, Michael Peak (Christi); many nieces and nephews, and his loyal companions: Lucy, Daisy, and Oscar.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana, 47150 on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
