Clara H. Waters, 93 years of age died Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at her home in New Albany. She was born October 3, 1923 in Aurora, Illinois to the late Bernard and Catherine (Hendricks) Heyl. She was a retired clerk from the city of New Albany and member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Albany. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Wilson Waters, her brother Jacob Heyl, and her sister Elsie Heyl Covert.
Survivors include her daughters, Joy Lohmeyer (Steve), Hope Cambridge, Kathy Turner (Wayne); sister, Helen Baxter; grandchildren, Jennifer Turner, Wilson Turner, Hilary Cambridge Crawford, Rebecca Lohmeyer Hart, Lynzie Cambridge Richardson, Libby Lohmeyer, Jason Cambridge, Hanna Lohmeyer Foster; great granddaughter, Alyvia Spencer.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2796 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. A Memorial Service will be held 2:30 pm Saturday at the church.
The family requests expressions of sympathy to Trinity United Methodist Church, the American Heart Association, or Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
